Human
Monitoring's Leonardo™ is a digital video stabilizer
with excellent quality, configurable latency, and capable of
dealing with the most shaky video types - including "Walk and
Shoot" sequences - stabilizing them in real time. Leonardo™
patent pending technology is superior to most available products
that typically cost thousands of dollars.
Cellular
handsets require video stabilization, and Leonardo™ can be
integrated with most video encoders on the most
widespread application processors, without a need for any
hardware modifications.
Leonardo™ was developed by Human
Monitoring based on the company's revolutionary motion estimation
engine and it's unique algorithmic scheme that processes large
sections of the video frames temporally. The algorithm can
perform the stabilization task at a low computational load,
enabling its integration with SD encoders on a single
Media Processor. Leonardo™ consumes less than 15% of the cycles
of Texas Instruments DM642 or NPX'es PNX15xx!
Leonardo™
can also rescue corrupt video materials by correcting unwanted
motion artifacts of video footage resulting from the vibrating
motion of the camera. Since a lot of press materials and most
consumer-level camcorders are lightweight and
amateur photographers find it difficult to stabilize them, most
of the home-videos are shaky. There are many other fields, like
aerial photography and pole mounted photography, where
stabilizing is essential.
